Michel Henri Devoret[2] (fr; born 1953)[3][4] is a French physicist. He is Professor of Physics at the University of California, Santa Barbara[5][6] and Professor Emeritus of Applied Physics at Yale University.[7] He is the chief scientist for quantum hardware at Google Quantum AI. He is known for his work on macroscopic quantum phenomena.
Devoret, John Clarke, and John M. Martinis were given the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2025 for their work in superconductivity.[8]
