Miles Jonathon Austin III (born June 30, 1984[1]) is an American football coach and former wide receiver. He played 10 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played for the Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns, and Philadelphia Eagles.
He was not drafted by an NFL team and was signed by the Cowboys in 2006. Austin played college football for the Monmouth Hawks. Austin's professional career was quiet at first, but Austin had a breakout year in 2009. He also had a great season in 2010, but missed much of 2011 with an injury. In his NFL career from 2006 to the present, Austin has 211 catches, 3,294 total receiving yards, and 28 total touchdowns. He also has 11 attempts, 94 yards, and a touchdown rushing.
On December 7, 2015, Austin was released by the Eagles.[2] He retired from playing professional football afterwards.
Austin, with the help of his family, owns the Austin Family Foundation, which helps improve the mental and physical status of young people.
