The Moderate Party (Swedish: Moderata samlingspartiet [mʊdɛˈrɑ̌ːta ˈsâmːlɪŋspaˌʈiːɛt] (audio speaker iconlisten),[1] lit.'Moderate Coalition Party'; M), mainly known as the Moderates (Moderaterna [mʊdɛˈrɑ̌ːtɛɳa] (audio speaker iconlisten)), is a liberal-conservative[2][3][4][5] political party in Sweden. The party supports tax cuts, the free market, civil liberties and economic liberalism.[6] It is a member of the European People's Party.[7]
