The Moderate Party (Swedish: Moderata samlingspartiet [mʊdɛˈrɑ̌ːta ˈsâmːlɪŋspaˌʈiːɛt] (listen),[1] lit. 'Moderate Coalition Party'; M), mainly known as the Moderates (Moderaterna [mʊdɛˈrɑ̌ːtɛɳa] (
listen)), is a liberal-conservative[2][3][4][5] political party in Sweden. The party supports tax cuts, the free market, civil liberties and economic liberalism.[6] It is a member of the European People's Party.[7]
