Mykola Yanovych Azarov (Ukrainian: Мико́ла Я́нович Аза́ров, Mykola Yanovych Azarov; Russian: Никола́й Я́нович Азaров, Nikolay Yanovich Azarov; né Pakhlo; Cyrillic: Пахло; born 17 December 1947) is a Ukrainian politician.[1][2] He was the Prime Minister of Ukraine from 11 March 2010 to 27 January 2014.[3] He was the First Vice Prime Minister and Finance Minister from 2002 to 2005 and again from 2006 to 2007.
Azarov was born in Kaluga on 17 December 1947 in the Russian SFSR, Soviet Union, to a mixed Estonian-Russian family.[4][5]
