Princess Augusta (Augusta Frederica; 31 July 1737 – 23 March 1813) was a member of the British Royal Family, a granddaughter of George II and sister of George III.[1] In 1763 she married Charles, prince of the House of Brunswick, of which she was already a member. She had seven children. Her marriage was not a happy one, and Augusta eventually returned to London where she died in 1813.[1] Her daughter Caroline of Brunswick was the Queen consort of George IV.[1]
