Punks Not Dead is the debut studio album by Scottish punk rock band, The Exploited. Punks Not Dead was released in April 1981. They made the album as a reaction to critics who thought that the genre was dead, and was also against popular trends such as New Wave, hardcore and post-punk.[1] The album is regarded as one of the definitive Oi! albums. The album peaked at #20 on the UK charts in May of that year.[2]
