Qui Nguyen

Qui Nguyen (born 1977) is a Vietnamese-American poker player from Las Vegas, Nevada. He won the 2016 World Series of Poker Main Event, earning $8,005,310.

Nguyen was born in Vietnam and moved to the United States in 2001. He started playing poker in 2003, focusing on small cash games. After coming to Las Vegas, he switched to no limit games and had some wins in low buy-in events. His total tournament winnings as of 2017 exceeded $8,050,000, mostly from his Main Event victory. Nguyen earned his seat in the 2016 Main Event through a $1,100 satellite tournament. He reached the November Nine in the second chip position.^[1][2][3]

As of November 2017, Qui Nguyen lives in the Summerlin area of Las Vegas with his son Kyle.^[4]
