Raymond Hoyt "Ray" Thornton, Jr. (July 16, 1928 – April 13, 2016) was an American politician. He was a member of the Democratic Party. He was a member of the U.S. Representative for Arkansas' 4th congressional district from 1973 to 1979 and the 2nd district from 1991 to 1997.[1]
He studied among others at Yale University.
Thornton died in Little Rock, Arkansas on April 13, 2016, aged 87.[2]
