Richard Estes (born May 14, 1932, in Kewanee, Illinois) is an American painter, best known for his photorealist work.

Estes creates his paintings based on several photographs that he takes. His paintings tend to consist of reflective and inanimate cityscapes and geometric landscapes. He is considered as one of the founders of the international photo-realist movement of the late 1960s, with other painters such as John Baeder, Chuck Close, Audrey Flack, Don Eddy and Ralph Goings.

He is represented in some of leading art museums in the world.[1]
