Richard Van Perry (June 18, 1942 – December 24, 2024) was an American record producer. He produced more than 12 gold records by 1982. From 1978 to 1983, he ran his own record label, Planet Records. He also produced albums by Rod Stewart and Carly Simon. He began getting involved with music early in his life, around the age of 12.[1]
Perry and Jane Fonda were in a relationship from 2009 to 2017. In 2017, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.[2]
Perry died at a hospital in Los Angeles on December 24, 2024 from cardiac arrest at the age of 82.[3]
