Roberta Alexander (March 3, 1949 – October 14, 2025) was an American operatic soprano. She began her career as a lyric soprano in 1975. She was known for her roles as Mozart characters like Elettra, Fiordiligi, and Countess Almaviva. She was a leading soprano at the Metropolitan Opera from 1983 to 1991. She was known for her roles as Mimì in Puccini's La bohème and the title role in Janáček's Jenůfa.
Alexander died in Amsterdam, Netherlands on October 14, 2025 from a heart attack, at the age of 76.[1][2][3]
