Sabina Matos (born February 13, 1974) is a Dominican-American politician. She is the 70th lieutenant governor of Rhode Island since April 2021. Sabina Matos is the first Afro-Latina lieutenant governor and the first Dominican-American to hold state-wide office in the United States.[1][2] She is a member of the Democratic Party.
In March 2023, Matos announced her candidacy for the United States House of Representatives to represent Rhode Island's 1st congressional district.[3] She lost in the September primaries to Gabe Amo.
