Sanjay Balraj Dutt (born 29 July 1959) is an Indian actor who works in Hindi cinema in addition to a few Kannada, Tamil, Punjabi and Telugu films. In a career spanning over four decades, Dutt has won several accolades and acted in over 135 films, ranging from romance to comedy genres, though usually in action genres, thus proving himself one of the most popular Hindi film actors since the 1980s.

Career
Sanjay Dutt started his acting career in 1981 with the movie Rocky. The film was a success, and it made him popular. During the 1980s and 1990s, he acted in many action films, such as Naam (1986), Saajan (1991), Khalnayak (1993), and Vaastav: The Reality (1999). These movies made him known as a strong action hero.
In the 2000s, he played more comedy and emotional roles. He became very famous for playing Munna Bhai in the films Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. (2003) and Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006). These movies were both hits and loved by people of all ages.
He has acted in more than 135 films in different genres, including romance, comedy and action. He also appeared in a few films in Kannada,[2] Tamil, Telugu and Punjabi languages.

Personal life
Sanjay Dutt has had a life full of ups and downs. He faced problems with drug addiction during his early years but later went to rehab and recovered. He was also arrested in 1993 for having illegal weapons linked to the Mumbai bombings. He spent some time in jail but later completed his sentence and returned to acting.
He has been married three times. His current wife is Manyata Dutt,[1][3][4] and they have two children — a son and a daughter. Sanjay also has a daughter from his first marriage.
In 2020, he was diagnosed with lung cancer, but after treatment, he recovered. He is known for being strong and coming back from tough situations.
