Clarence Saxby Chambliss (born November 10, 1943) is a former American politician. He served as a United States Senator of Georgia from 2003 to 2015. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served as a U.S. Representative (1995–2003).
On January 25, 2013, Chambliss announced that he would not be running for a third term.[2]
Chambliss was born on November 10, 1943 in Warrenton, North Carolina.[3] He studied at Louisiana Tech University, at the University of Georgia, and at the University of Tennessee. Chambliss has been married to Julianne Chambliss since 1968. They had two children.
