Space science

Space science is the study of outer space as a whole. There are two main branches of space science.

Astronomy, a branch of space science, is the study of celestial bodies like stars, planets, black holes, galaxies, and more.^[1]

Astronautics is also a branch of space science and aerospace engineering. Astronautics is the practice, science and engineering of flying spacecraft, such as artificial satellites, space stations, rocket ships, and more, in the sense that aeronautics studies aircraft.^[2]
