Stephen Gaghan (/ˈɡeɪɡən/;[2] born May 6, 1965) is an American screenwriter and director.[3] He is known for writing Steven Soderbergh's movie Traffic. He won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for Traffic.[4] He also wrote and directed the thriller Abandon and the family movie Dolittle.
