Sushant Singh Rajput (21 January 1986[1] – 14 June 2020) was an Indian actor, dancer, television personality and philanthropist.[2] He appeared in TV shows such as Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil[3] and Pavitra Rishta.[4][5] Rajput's movie roles include Kai Po Che! (2013),[6] Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! (2015),[7] M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016),[8] Chhichhore (2019), Dil Bechara[9](2020).
Rajput was born in Patna, Bihar. He dated actress Ankita Lokhande for six years.[10] Before getting first break, he worked as a background dancer.

Death
On 14 June 2020, Rajput was found dead at his home in Bandra, Mumbai. His death was reported to have been a suicide by hanging. He was 34.[11][12] Rajput's death was controversial,[13] with some people on social media alleging that his death was a "planned murder".[14] On 17 July 2020, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh gave a statement, saying that "The Mumbai Police is competent enough to handle such cases and they are investigating every aspect of the case including professional rivalry. As of now, we do not see any foul play. Details of the investigation will be shared once it is completed."[15]
