The Decemberists

The Decemberists are a rock band from Portland, Oregon. The band has folk rock influences.^[2] The band is named after the Decembrist Revolt that happened in Russia in the 19th century.^[3] The band likes to tell stories in their songs. Lead singer Colin Meloy has stated that he has an interest in literature, especially from the Victorian era.^[4]
