The "Loco-Motion" (or "Locomotion") is a pop ballad. The song was first recorded and performed by Little Eva in the early-1960s. In borderline June / July 1962 as the "Loco-Motion" the song hit #1 on the American Billboard Hot 100.[1]
The later versions and song covers
The American pop-rock group Grand Funk Railroad recorded their cover of the song "Loco-Motion" during the early-to-mid 1970s. Their version also peaked at the #1 top spot under the United States' Billboard Hot 100.
The Australian pop, rock and dance singer Kylie Minogue released her version in 1987 or 1988 as "Locomotion". This version hit #3 under the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on international music charts. Those included that of her native Australia.
