The Magnificent Ambersons is a 1942 American drama movie directed by Orson Welles and was based on the 1918 novel of the same name by Booth Tarkington. It stars Joseph Cotten, Dolores Costello, Anne Baxter, Tim Holt, Agnes Moorehead, Erskine Sanford and was distributed by RKO Radio Pictures. It was nominated for 4 Academy Awards in 1943.[1]
