Thomas Addison (April 1793 – 29 June 1860) was an English physician and scientist.[1]

Addison was born in Longbenton, Northumberland.[2] He discovered Addison's disease and Addison's anemia.[3]
Addison killed himself in Brighton, East Sussex.[4] He jumped from a hospital he worked in. He suffered from depression.[2][5]
