Tyler Wayne Skaggs (July 13, 1991 – July 1, 2019) was an American professional baseball pitcher. He was born in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, but raised in Santa Monica, California. Skaggs played for the Arizona Diamondbacks from 2012 to 2013 and for the Los Angeles Angels in 2014 and again from 2016 until his death in 2019.

Skaggs was found dead at his hotel room in Southlake, Texas on July 1, 2019 at the age of 27.[1] No foul play is suspected and the cause of death has not been revealed.[2] On August 30, an autopsy revealed that Skaggs had fentanyl, oxycodone, and alcohol in his system.[3] The Drug Enforcement Administration said that the fentanyl was the cause of his death.[4]
