Vecuronium is a medicine that relaxes muscles during surgery, or when a person needs a machine to help them breathe.[1] It belongs to a group of drugs called skeletal muscle relaxants.

It is often used as part of general anesthesia. It makes it easier to put a tube down a person's throat to help them breathe.[2] (This is called intubation.)
