Warner Saunders (January 30, 1935 – October 9, 2018) was an American news co-anchor. He worked for WMAQ-TV in Chicago. Saunders' primary co-anchor in the NBC 5 evening newscasts was Allison Rosati. He studied at Northeastern Illinois University. He was born in Chicago. Saunders retired in 2009.

Before being an anchor, Saunders was a teacher. His teaching career includes Chicago Public Schools, National College of Education (now National Louis University), Malcolm X College, Northeastern Illinois University, and Indiana University

Saunders died at a hospital in Lincoln Park, Chicago from a suspected heart attack on October 9, 2018, aged 83.[1]
