Wayne Simmonds (born August 26, 1988) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right winger. He played parts of seventeen seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). He played for the Los Angeles Kings, Philadelphia Flyers, Nashville Predators, New Jersey Devils, Buffalo Sabres, and Toronto Maple Leafs

Career
He was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings with the 61st overall pick in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He also played in the OHL with the Owen Sound Attack and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. He is a black Canadian and was one of a small number of black hockey players in the league.
On March 18, 2024, Simmonds would announce that he was retiring from playing professional ice hockey. He would sign a one-day contract with the Philadelphia Flyers to retire as a member of the team.[1]
