Prof. MUDr. Jozef Pogády DrSc. (* 1924 – † 28. jún 2004)[1] bol slovenský psychiater a vysokoškolský pedagóg.[2] Zameriaval sa na psychológiu kreativity a supervíziu. Bol dlhoročným riaditeľom Psychiatrickej nemocnice v Pezinku a tvorca jej modernej podoby.
Bol autorom viac ako 300 vedeckých a odborných publikácií, najmä z oblasti psychopatológie a etiopatogenézy duševných porúch, viacerých monografií a nespočetného množstva prednášok doma i v zahraničí. V množstve vedeckých prác venoval významnú pozornosť biologickým základom duševných porúch s prihliadnutím na psychosociálne činitele. Bol tiež zakladateľom časopisu Psychiatria.
Z pôsobenia na zahraničných fórach treba vyzdvihnúť činnosť vo WHO a vo WPA, kde sa aktívne podieľal na riešení zložitých otázok rozvoja psychiatrie v medzinárodných rozmeroch.
Významná je aj jeho zásluha pri vybudovaní Psychiatrickej kliniky Fakulty zdravotníctva a sociálnej práce Trnavskej univerzity, ktorú rozvinul v Psychiatrickej nemocnici Ph. Pinela v Pezinku. Bol dlhoročným členom Vedeckej rady Trnavskej univerzity a zásadným spôsobom sa pričinil o jej rozvoj.
In memoriam mu Trnavská univerzita 15. decembra 2004 udelila Zlatú medailu za zásluhy o rozvoj.
