Peter Žňava (* 6. október 1982, Nitra[1]) je bývalý slovenský atlét a atletický tréner, ktorý sa venoval behu na 400 metrov.

Na základnej škole navštevoval atletickú triedu. Následne sa venoval futbalu, od ktorého sa opäť vrátil k atletike. Vyštudoval učiteľstvo telesnej výchovy a informatiky na Univerzite Konštantína Filozofa v Nitre. Popri štúdiu a následne čiastočnom úväzku na športovom gymnáziu reprezentoval Slovensko na vrcholných podujatiach v behu na 400 metrov.[1] Zúčastnil sa na halových majstrovstvách Európy 2009 v Turíne, kde skončil na v rozbehu časom 47,85 s na 5. mieste a celkovo na 20.[2] Jeho trénerom bol Martin Illéš a bol členom klubu AK Spartak Dubnica nad Váhom.
Po ukončení kariéry najskôr kombinoval trénerstvo a učiteľstvo informatiky. Momentálne je tréner na plný úväzok na strednej športovej škole v Nitre. V minulosti pripravoval osemstovkára Jozefa Repčíka, s ktorým sa predstavil na OH v Riu de Janeiro 2016. V súčasnosti je trénerom atlétky Emmy Zapletalovej.[1]
