Karakteristikat

Aftësitë e Calc përfshijnë:

• Aftësia për të lexuar/shkruar OpenDocument (ODF), Excel (XLS), CSV^[1] dhe disa formate të tjera.^[2][3]
• Mbështetje për një numër të madh të funksioneve, duke përfshirë ato për numrat imagjinare, si dhe të funksioneve financiare dhe statistikore.^[4][5]
• Mbështet 1 milion radhë në një spreadsheet, duke e bërë LibreOffice më te përshtatshme për spreadsheets me te renda shkencore dhe financiare .^[6] Megjithatë, numri i shtyllave është e kufizuar në më 1024, shumë më i ulët se c'është limiti i Excel ne 16384.^[7]

Në strukturen e saj te brendshme, Calc, der ne versionin 4.1 mbështetet në qelizat e si bazë klasë e tërë, e cila ka qenë fajësuar për "perdorim ekstrem te kujteses, kompilim te avashte , dhe kod t eveshtire". Versioni 4.2 (lëshuar në janar të vitit 2014) i adreson këto çështje duke i  magazinuar të dhënat në vargjet ku është e mundur.^[8]

Previously, setting a second subtotal range removed the first one if they were on the same sheet.[10]
