历史

水合蒎醇由阿斯卡尼奥·索布雷洛发现，是萜烯的氧化产物。之后，手性蒎烯的氧化和还原反应也会产生香芹酮（在异丙基脱水的对应的环己基酮）和水合蒎醇的几个可能同分异构体，这样就可以判断蒎烯和其他萜烯的反应机制和结构性质。
