玉蕊科

玉蕊科包括约20属250-300余种，都是生长在南美洲和马达加斯加岛的乔木。许多种类是重要的木材来源。

玉蕊科一般分为两个亚科：藏蕊花亚科（Foetidioideae）和玉蕊亚科（Lecythidioideae）。藏蕊花亚科只包括生长在马达加斯加的一属—藏蕊花属，其余的都属于玉蕊亚科。

巴西坚果（Bertholletia excelsa）也是一种重要的商品。

1981年的克朗奎斯特分类法单独列入一个玉蕊目，只有一科。1998年根据基因亲缘关系分类的APG 分类法将其合并到杜鹃花目中。
