约翰·伯宁罕

约翰·伯宁罕（英语：John Burningham，1936年4月27日—2019年1月4日^[1]），英国作家与儿童文学插画家，尤以童书绘本著名^[2]。他与同为插画家的妻子海伦·奥森柏莉目前住在伦敦北区^[3]。自2012年8月以来，他的最新出版作品是给2岁以上幼童看的“There's Going to Be a New Baby”，此书是由夫妻2人协力完成，由伯宁罕撰写故事，他的妻子则负责插画^[4][5]。

伯宁罕曾荣获1963年及1970年的英国格林威大奖（The Kate Greenaway Medals）^[6][7]。他第1次获提名并得奖的作品是“波卡：一只无毛鹅的冒险”（Borka: The Adventures of a Goose With No Feathers ），此书并于该奖项50周年庆（1955-2005）时获提名为前10大胜选作品之一^[8]。他第2度得奖的作品是1970年出版的“和甘伯伯去游河”（Mr Gumpy's Outing），该书不仅为许多国家的图书馆所收藏（借由WorldCat查询^[9] ），也荣获了美国波士顿环球报号角书奖（Boston Globe–Horn Book Award）中的年度最佳图画书奖。^[10]

由于伯宁罕长期以来在儿童插画界的贡献，他于2012及2014年两度被提名为国际安徒生文学奖（Hans Christian Andersen Award）的候选人，该奖项是儿童文学创作者所能获得的最高荣誉^[11][12][13] 。他也是1980年及1986年英国荣誉国民的候选人^[14]。
