时频分析中的核方法

时频分析的性质由其分布的核所决定，借由检视分布核的限制条件我们能很容易的了解时频分布的优缺点并让我们快速的选择符合需求的时频分布。因此我们将利用时频分布和核函数之间的关联研究相对应的时频分析性质，并以此作为设计时频分析的基准。

时频分布的形式

所有的时频分布皆可以表示为 ${\displaystyle C(t,\omega )={\frac {1}{4\pi ^{2}}}\int \int \int s^{*}(u-{\frac {1}{2}}\tau )s(u+{\frac {1}{2}}\tau )\phi (\theta \,,\tau )e^{-j\theta t-j\tau \omega +j\theta u}dud\tau d\theta }$ ，其中${\displaystyle \phi (\theta \,,\tau )}$被称作时频分布的核。 下表列出了几个常见的时频分布与其对应的核

时频分布的不同形式

我们可以将广义的时频分布形式做变形以便从不同的角度观察时频分布与其核的关系，在时频分布的性质与核中会看到这些表示式提供对核的刻画与限制，其中常用的几种等价表示式为

特征函数

若令广义的模棱函数${\displaystyle M(\theta \,,\tau )}$为

${\displaystyle M(\theta \,,\tau )=\int \int s^{*}(u-{\frac {1}{2}}\tau )s(u+{\frac {1}{2}}\tau )\phi (\theta \,,\tau )e^{j\theta u}du=\phi (\theta \,,\tau )A(\theta \,,\tau )}$

其中${\displaystyle A(\theta \,,\tau )}$为信号${\displaystyle s(t)}$本身的模棱函数,则时频分布可表为${\displaystyle M(\theta \,,\tau )}$的特征函数

${\displaystyle C(t,\omega )={\frac {1}{4\pi ^{2}}}\int \int M(\theta \,,\tau )e^{-j\theta t-j\tau \omega }d\theta d\tau }$

自相关函数

计算广义的局部自相关函数${\displaystyle R_{t}(\tau )}$为

${\displaystyle R_{t}(\tau )={\frac {1}{2\pi }}\int \int s^{*}(u-{\frac {1}{2}}\tau )s(u+{\frac {1}{2}}\tau )\phi (\theta \,,\tau )e^{j\theta (u-t)}d\theta du}$

则时频分布可表示成${\displaystyle R_{t}(\tau )}$的傅立叶转换，可类比功率谱密度和自相关函数之间的关系。

傅立叶变换

将核函数对参数${\displaystyle \theta }$做傅立叶变换可得

${\displaystyle r(t,\tau )={\frac {1}{2\pi }}\int \phi (\theta ,\tau )e^{-jt\theta }d\theta }$

双线性变换

对于广义时频分布做变数变换 ${\displaystyle x'=u-{\frac {1}{2}}\tau ;x=u+{\frac {1}{2}}\tau }$ 则有

${\displaystyle C(t,\omega )=\int \int K(t,\omega ,x',x)s^{*}(x')s(x)dx'dx}$

${\displaystyle K(t,\omega ,x',x)={\frac {1}{2\pi }}r(t-{\frac {1}{2}}(x+x'),x'-x)e^{-j\omega (x'-x)}}$

核的分类

由于任意的二维函数都可以作为核而产生时频分布，事实上我们要面对的是无限多种的核(与时频分布)，因此在现实应用与讨论中我们常常将注意力放在一部分拥有特定足够好性质的核函数，以下简介之

乘积核

核函数仅依赖的参数${\displaystyle \theta \,\tau }$的积 ${\displaystyle \phi (\theta \,\tau )=\phi (\theta \tau )}$

可分核

核函数可被分解为两个单变数函数的积 ${\displaystyle \phi (\theta \,\tau )=\phi _{1}(\theta )\phi _{2}(\tau )}$

双线性核

核函数不依赖时间参数${\displaystyle t}$与频率参数${\displaystyle \omega }$，函数${\displaystyle K(t,\omega ,x',x)={\frac {1}{2\pi }}r(t-{\frac {1}{2}}(x+x'),x'-x)e^{-j\omega (x'-x)}}$对参数${\displaystyle x,x'}$为双线性

时频分布的性质与核

以下我们讨论时频分布的基本性质与为了达到这些性质核函数必须要满足的条件

边际条件

考虑时频分布函数${\displaystyle C(t,\omega )}$，我们希望对于频率参数${\displaystyle \omega }$积分之后能得到在时间${\displaystyle t}$的信号能量 ,因此我们必须使下式成立

${\displaystyle \int C(t,\omega )d\omega ={\frac {1}{2\pi }}\int \int \phi (\theta ,0)|s(u)|^{2}e^{j\theta (u-t)}=|s(u)|^{2}}$

因此我们必须要求${\displaystyle \phi (\theta ,0)=1}$。相同的为了得到${\displaystyle \int C(t,\omega )dt=|s(\omega )|^{2}}$, 我们必须要求${\displaystyle \phi (0,\tau )=1}$

最后，考虑总能量我们则须要求${\displaystyle \phi (0,0)=1}$

实数性

为了使时频分布的计算结果为实数，考虑时频分布的特征函数计算式，相当于对${\displaystyle M(\theta \,,\tau )}$进行两次傅立叶转换

${\displaystyle C(t,\omega )={\frac {1}{4\pi ^{2}}}\int \int M(\theta \,,\tau )e^{-j\theta t-j\tau \omega }d\theta d\tau }$

因此广义模棱函数${\displaystyle M(\theta \,,\tau )}$必须满足共轭对称性

${\displaystyle M(\theta \,,\tau )=M^{*}(-\theta \,,-\tau )}$

在信号本身为实数信号时的${\displaystyle s(t)}$模棱函数${\displaystyle A(\theta \,,\tau )}$直接满足共轭对称，因此条件变为

${\displaystyle \phi (\theta \,,\tau )=\phi ^{*}(-\theta \,,-\tau )}$

位移性质

考虑对输入信号做时频位移${\displaystyle s'=e^{j\omega _{0}t}s(t-t_{0})}$，若要对应的时频分布满足${\displaystyle C'(t,\omega )=C(t-t_{0},\omega -\omega _{0})}$，则核函数必须不依赖时间和频率。

缩放性质

考虑缩放后的信号${\displaystyle s'(t)={\sqrt {(}}a)s(at)}$, 我们希望对应的时频分布满足${\displaystyle C'(t,\omega )=C(at,{\frac {\omega }{a}})}$，则核函数必须是乘积核 ${\displaystyle \phi (\theta \,\tau )=\phi (\theta \tau )}$

逆变换

我们希望能从时频分布${\displaystyle C(t,\omega )}$中重新恢复输入信号${\displaystyle s(t)}$

由关系式${\displaystyle A(\theta \,,\tau )={\frac {M(\theta \,,\tau )}{\phi (\theta \,,\tau )}}}$两侧同时取傅立叶变换可得

${\displaystyle s^{*}(u-{\frac {1}{2}}\tau )s(u+{\frac {1}{2}}\tau )={\frac {1}{2\pi }}\int {\frac {M(\theta \,,\tau )}{\phi (\theta \,,\tau )}}e^{-j\theta u}d\theta }$

做变数变换${\displaystyle t=u+{\frac {1}{2}}\tau ,t'=u-{\frac {1}{2}}\tau }$，并取${\displaystyle t'=0}$可得

${\displaystyle s(t)={\frac {1}{2\pi s^{*}(0)}}\int {\frac {M(\theta \,,\tau )}{\phi (\theta \,,\tau )}}e^{-j\theta u}d\theta ={\frac {1}{2\pi s^{*}(0)}}\int {\frac {C(t',\omega )}{\phi (\theta \,,\tau )}}e^{jt\omega +j\theta (t'-{\frac {t}{2}})}dt'd\omega d\theta }$

不同时频分布之间的关系

现在我们考虑对同一个信号使用不同的核函数${\displaystyle \phi _{1}(\theta \,,\tau ),\phi _{2}(\theta \,,\tau )}$，获得两个时频分布${\displaystyle C_{1},C_{2}}$

这两个时频分布的特征函数为${\displaystyle M_{i}(\theta \,,\tau )=\phi _{i}(\theta \,,\tau )\int s^{*}(u-{\frac {1}{2}}\tau )s(u+{\frac {1}{2}}\tau )du,i=1,2}$

因此特征函数和核函数的关联为${\displaystyle M_{1}(\theta \,,\tau )={\frac {\phi _{1}(\theta \,,\tau )}{\phi _{2}(\theta \,,\tau )}}M_{2}(\theta \,,\tau )}$

因此我们可以将${\displaystyle C_{1}}$以${\displaystyle C_{2}}$表达为:
