〈Latata〉是一首融合了蒙巴顿、陷阱音乐与雷鬼音乐节奏的歌曲。[9]这首歌是以A小调作曲，速度为每分钟98拍（BPM）。[10]在歌词方面，这首歌描述了一名恋爱中的女性，表达她渴望与爱人共舞的心情。[11]
在MBC节目《黄金渔场 Radio Star》的访谈中，田小娟表示，〈Latata〉的副歌灵感来自韩国喜剧演员宋俊根的口头禅。她进一步解释说：“当时，我对宋俊根在KBS2的搞笑演唱会这个节目中的角色‘Gonzalez’所使用的口头禅 ‘Ratata Arata’ 印象深刻。之后，我在聆听拉丁音乐时，这个词突然浮现在脑海中，于是〈Latata〉就诞生了。”[12][13]

"Latata" did not enter the Gaon Digital Chart in its first week, but did enter the componing Download Chart at number 68, peaking at number 8 the following week.[14][15] In its second week, the song debuted at number 35 on the Gaon Digital Chart as a "hot" song and peaked at number 16 two weeks later.[16][17] It also entered at number 66 on the componing Streaming Chart and peaked at number 23 the following week.[18] The song entered at number 4 on the Gaon Social Chart, and climbed to number 3 the following week.[19][20]
In the United States, the song entered at number 11 on the Billboard World Digital Songs chart, and climbed to number 4 the following week, selling 1,000 copies, making it the best-selling K-pop song in the week of May 10.[21] The song has sold 3,000 copies in America as of August 2018.[22]
In September 2020, "Latata" music video surpassed 160 million combined views for the official music video uploaded on 1theK's channel and (G)I-dle's official channel.[23]
