Bāng-oaⁿ-hiong (網垵鄉, mā siá chò "望安鄉") sī Tâi-oân Phêⁿ-ô͘-koān ê 1 ê hiong, lóng-chóng hâm 18-ê tó, kî-tiong nn̄g toā sī Bang-oaⁿ-tó kap Chiong-kun-ò-sū (將軍澳嶼). Bāng-oaⁿ chit-ê miâ sī in-ūi Chheng léng Sî-tāi hőng oe̍h ji̍p-khì Bāng-oaⁿ-ò. Tû-liáu Bāng-oaⁿ í-gōa, kó͘-chá-sî mā hō-chò "Poeh-tàu (八罩)", ū ha̍k-chiá jīn-ûi sī in-ūi Bāng-oaⁿ pún tó hō͘ 8-ê tōa tó (Hó͘-chéⁿ-sū (虎井嶼), Chiong-kun-ò-sū, Tang-kiat-sū (東吉嶼), Sai-kiat-sū , Tang-sū-pêⁿ (東嶼坪), Sai-sū-pêⁿ, Hoe-sū (花嶼), Tōa-sū-tó (大嶼島)) pau-ûi tà--leh[1]. 1920 nî (Tāi-chèng káu nî), Ji̍t-pún chèng-hú kā "Bāng-oaⁿ (網垵)" kái chò kāng im ê "bāng-oaⁿ (望安)"[2][1].
