粉啮虫亚目（学名：Troctomorpha）是啮虫目（Psocodea）的七个亚目之一，包括树虱、书虱及各种寄生虱[1][2]；在旧的啮虫目（Psocoptera）也是三个亚目之一。这些昆虫以霉菌和腐屑为食[3]。

现时粉啮虫亚目包括有超过30个科、5,800个已描述的物种[4][5][1]。当中包括过往是一个独立的目的虱毛目，牠们跟书虱科（Liposcelididae）关系密切，后来证实为姊妹分类，所以被降为小啮虫下目之下的一个小目[1]。
概说
原虱毛目被合并进小啮虫下目，成为了虱毛小目。这个分类单元的部分物种（例如：书虱属 Liposcelis 的物种）在形态学上跟跳虱很相似，亦在鸟巢中很常见，所以今日跳虱的祖先的寄生生活很可能起源于此[6]。

The oldest record of the suborder is suggested to be Paramesopsocus adibi, known from the 晚侏罗世 Karabastau Formation of 哈萨克斯坦[10][11]。
