人类的9号染色体是23对染色体中的一对，正常情况下每个体细胞拥有两条该染色体。此染色体含有大约145百万个碱基对，占细胞内所有DNA的4%到4.5%。其中约有800到1200个基因，依预测方式而有所不同。
