生平
瑪娜·洛伊出生於1905年，本名叫瑪娜·威廉士。她的父親是一名蒙大拿州的議員，首次亮相舞台的時候她只有12歲，那是一出舞蹈節目。第二年父親去世，瑪娜搬到了洛杉磯，為了補貼家用她參與了本地的演出節目。後來她在魯道夫·范倫鐵諾妻子的幫助下，經常在好萊塢的劇院演出，並且這位女士還幫助瑪娜獲取了一些電影的演出機會。1920年，她改名為瑪娜·洛伊，並且開始出演一些比較重要的角色。
她最初是以具有異國風情的狐狸精身份出現在電影裡的，後來真正使她開始大放光彩的是瘦子（英語：The Thin Man (film)）系列偵探喜劇電影，在這裡她和男演員威廉·鮑威爾合作，獲得了很大成功，成為了某些人的夢中情人。在某家電台舉辦於1936年的聽眾調查中，她贏得了電影女王的稱號，而獲得國王稱號的則是克拉克·蓋博。
瑪娜·洛伊一共經歷了四段失敗的婚姻，第一段婚姻始於1936年，她嫁的是一名電影製片人。她的第四任丈夫則是一名聯合國教科文組織的成員，並且這段婚姻持續了9年，兩人離婚後瑪娜也沒有再嫁。在熒幕以外，瑪娜廣泛參與社會活動。她是聯合國以及聯合國教科文組織的支持者。瑪娜一身總共參與了129部電影的演出，最後一部電影作品拍攝於1981年。除了電影之外，她還參與過電視節目的演出。1991年，在她去世前兩年她獲得了奧斯卡終身成就獎。[1]
