Edwin August Phillip von der Butz (20 de payares de 1883, Saint Louis – 4 de marzu de 1964, Hollywood), más conocíu como Edwin August, foi un actor, guionista, direutor de cine y actor de cine d'Estaos Xuníos. Tuvo activu na dómina del cine mudu.

Biografía

El so nome completu yera Edwin August Phillip von der Butz, y nació en Saint Louis, Missouri. Actuó nun total de 152 filmes ente 1909 y 1947, y dirixó 52 dende 1912 a 1919. El so hermanu foi'l tamién actor Hal August (1890-1918). Dambos coincidieron en delles películes, ente elles The Romance of an Actor (1914).

En 1914 August foi unu de los fundadores de Eaco Films.[2]

Edwin August finó en Hollywood, California, en 1964. Foi soterráu nel Campusantu Valhalla Memorial Park de Los Angeles.
