Gypsy entamó nel cine mudu cola compañía d'actores d'Edward Hugh Sothern. Depués actuó na obra “Little Johnny Jones” al pie de Flora Belle Fry, producción de George M. Cohan.^[3] A partir d'ellí actuó en más de trenta películes. Tuvo casada col direutor de cine Henry King.

Los sos restos xacen nel campusantu Holy Cross de Culver City, California.^[4]
