Biografía

Nacíu en Robbinston, Maine, en 1908 escribió un rellatu protagonizáu por animales, que vendió a una revista de Nueva York. La publicación dirixir a Vitagraph, estudiu cinematográficu nel cual, amás de trabayar como direutor, escribió guiones cinematográficos que los sos protagonistes yeren animales.

Promovíu a la direición de Vitagraph, influyó na carrera de John Bunny, un popularísimo actor con una comicidad que s'adelantraba a la de les futures estrelles Fatty Arbuckle y Jackie Gleason.^[3] L'actriz más conocida de la compañía yera Florence Turner, cola cual Trimble rodó numberosos filmes. Cola llegada de nueves intérpretes como Gene Gauntier o Mary Pickford, la fama de Florence Turner menguó, polo cual en 1913 decidió dexar los Estaos Xuníos pa trabayar nel Reinu Xuníu con Trimble. En Londres dambos actuaron n'espectáculos de music hall, amás de rodar delles películes, producíes dalgunes d'elles pola mesma Florence Turner.

Strongheart (1917 - 1929)

Escribiendo hestories que teníen como protagonistes a animales, Trimble inspirar nel so propiu perru. Convertíu n'actor col nome de Jean the Dog y conocíu como'l Vitagraph Dog, foi'l primer perru en tener el papel de protagonista d'una película. Jean morrió en 1916. El so dueñu, mientres un viaxe por Alemaña cola so esposa, Jane Murfin, atopó a Etzel von Oeringen, un pastor alemán al que dio'l nome de Strongheart. Convertíu tamién n'actor, Strongheart aportó a la primer estrella canina del cine.

Trimble tuvo casáu cola guionista y comediógrafa Jane Murfin (nomada en 1932 al Óscar al meyor guión). El matrimoniu duró dende 1915 a 1926, añu nel cual remataba la carrera cinematográfica de Trimble. Laurence Trimble finó en 1954 en Woodland Hills, California.
