Biografía

Nacíu en Berlin, Wisconsin, empecipió la so carrera como actor cinematográficu en 1913, interpretando xunto a Lamar Johnstone el curtiumetraxe A Warm Welcome. Ente 1913 y 1914 trabayó nun total de 17 filmes, unu d'ellos empobináu por él mesmu en collaboración con Lucius Henderson, el western Salomy Jane. Sobremanera ye conocíu sobremanera pola so faceta de direutor, desaxeradamente prolífica, con un total de 119 filmes, el postreru d'ellos en 1948. La mayor parte de la so producción foi cine de serie B, trabayando davezu pa estudios d'escasu presupuestu como Monogram Pictures (pal cual dirixó delles cintes de les series de "Charlie Chan" y "East Side Kids") y Producers Releasing Corporation, anque n'ocasiones tamién dirixó pa productores de primera categoría como Universal Pictures, según para RKO Pictures y Republic Pictures. El so trabayu como guionista entiende 18 producciones, la mayoría d'elles rodaes nos entamos de la so carrera.
