Carpathian Forest (v překladu z angličtiny Karpatský les) je norská black metalová kapela založená v roce 1990 Rogerem Rasmussenem (alias Nattefrost) a Johnnym Krøvelem (alias Nordavind) pod názvem Enthrone (předchůdkyní byla kapela The Childmolesters) v norském městě Sandnes. Názvem Carpathian Forest se honosí od roku 1992.[1]
Je zaměřená ve svých textech anti-křesťansky, mezi témata patří misantropie, nihilismus, BDSM, smrt. Na bookletech CD označuje svou tvorbu jako „Misanthropic black metal“ (misantropický black metal).
V roce 1991 vyšlo první demo Black Winds (ještě pod názvem Enthrone) a v roce 1998 debutové studiové album s názvem Black Shining Leather.
