Bolsheignatovsky District

Bolsheignatovsky District (Russian: Большеигна́товский райо́н; Erzya: Покш Игнадбуе, Pokš Ignadbuje; Moksha: Оцю Игнатовань аймак, Otsü Ignatovań ajmak) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of the twenty-two in the Republic of Mordovia, Russia. It is located in the northeast of the republic. The area of the district is 834.2 square kilometers (322.1 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Bolshoye Ignatovo.[2] As of the 2010 Census, the total population of the district was 8,313, with the population of Bolshoye Ignatovo accounting for 34.2% of that number.[4]
