Central District (Sarbisheh County)

The Central District of Sarbisheh County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان سربیشه) is in South Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Sarbisheh.[3]

At the National Census in 2006, its population was 25,788 in 6,602 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 27,407 people in 7,339 households.[5] According to the 2016 census, the district had 17,755 inhabitants in 5,039 households,[2] by which time Ghainab Rural District had been created in the district, and Doreh Rural District had been separated from the district in the establishment of Doreh District.[6]
