Farrokhshahr District

Forrokhshahr District (Persian: بخش فرخشهر) is a former administrative division of Shahrekord County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Iran. Its capital was the city of Farrokh Shahr.[3]

After the 2011 census, the city of Farrokh Shahr was transferred from the Central District, and Dastgerd Rural District was transferred from Kiar County in the establishment of Farroskhshahr District, which was divided into two rural districts and the city.[3]
At the latest National Census in 2016, the district had 37,068 inhabitants living in 10,934 households.[2]
In August 2023, the district was separated from the Shahrekord County in the establishment of Farrokhshahr County, which was divided into two districts and three rural districts, with Farrokh Shahr as its capital and only city.[4]
