Hendijan (Persian: هندیجان)[lower-alpha 1] is a city in the Central District of Hendijan County, Khuzestan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 25,100 in 5,054 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 26,929 people in 6,255 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 29,015 people in 7,904 households.[2]
