Sarabbagh (Persian: سرابباغ)[lower-alpha 1] is a city in, and the capital of, Sarab Bagh District of Abdanan County, Ilam province, Iran.[4] It also serves as the administrative center for Sarab Bagh Rural District. Sarabbagh was the capital of the county before it was transferred to the city of Abdanan.[5] The city is populated by Kurds.[6]

At the 2006 census, its population was 2,273 in 458 households, when it was a village in Sarab Bagh Rural District.[7] The following census in 2011 counted 2,557 people in 608 households.[8] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,659 people in 731 households,[2] by which time the village had been elevated to the status of a city.[9]
