Verkhotursky District

Verkhotursky District (Russian: Верхоту́рский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the thirty in Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia.[1] As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Verkhotursky Urban Okrug.[7][6] Its administrative center is the town of Verkhoturye.[2] Population: 16,802 (2010 Census);[4] 19,153 (2002 Census);[9] 21,277 (1989 Soviet census).[10] The population of Verkhoturye accounts for 52.5% of the district's total population.[4]
