- Dresden Frauenkirche, in Dresden, Germany, designed by George Bähr, is completed.
- Eltzer Hof in Mainz completed
- September 29 – Church of the Gesuati on the Giudecca canal in Venice, designed by Giorgio Massari in 1724, is consecrated.
