2000 AFC Asian Cup qualification was the qualification process organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to determine the participating teams for the 2000 AFC Asian Cup. Out of all 44 Asian teams who are affiliated with AFC, only Afghanistan didn't enter due to the ban of football in the country, who was controlled by Taliban. Mongolia also didn't enter due to the national team's inactivity.
